OXFORD — The Pete Golding era at Ole Miss football will be officially introduced on Dec. 3.

Ole Miss will hold a press conference at 2 p.m., the university announced. It will be in the Manning Center.

Chancellor Glenn Boyce, athletic director Keith Carter and new Ole Miss coach Pete Golding will speak.

It comes after former coach Lane Kiffin left for the same position at LSU. Ole Miss (11-1) is on the verge of making its first College Football Playoff.

Golding was the defensive coordinator under Kiffin since 2023. He has a lot on his plate. In addition to preparing for a postseason game, early national signing day is Dec. 3.

The press conference will be televised live on SEC Network and in the ESPN app.

A replay of the press conference will be available on Ole Miss’ official YouTube page after the event has ended.

Pete Golding expected to address Ole Miss fans at basketball game tonight

Ole Miss announced on social media that Golding would make a public appearance at the Rebels’ basketball game on Dec. 2. Ole Miss hosts Miami at 8 p.m.

How to watch CFP rankings show tonight

Ole Miss fans will be in for an interesting evening on Dec. 2 when the College Football Playoff rankings are announced. The Rebels finished the regular season with a win in the Egg Bowl, but may be docked in the CFP rankings with Kiffin’s departure.

The show will begin at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
