The state of college football in terms of scheduling is best described as a "roller coaster" as Auburn head coach Alex Golesh needed to piece together a quality signing class just three days into his new job.

Despite the obstacles of limited time and previous commits backing off their pledges to Auburn, Golesh prevailed and signed the nation's No. 36 recruiting class, according to 247Sports, after starting the day ranked No. 93.

A total of 15 players signed with the Tigers on Wednesday, with four-star linebacker Jaquez Wilkes leading the pack as the nation's No. 67 recruit and the No. 6 linebacker from the class. Auburn also held onto key commitments, including four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle, three-star OL Wilson Zierer, and three-star linebacker Adam Balogoun-Ali.

Golesh was also fortunate to perform a few "flips" as well. Corey Wells, a four-star defensive lineman from Petal, Mississippi, was the most notable flip after backing off his pledge to Texas in favor of signing with Auburn. Tight end DJ Broughton, offensive lineman Mykall Lundy-Foster, and quarterback Rhys Brush joined Golesh after committing to him previously at USF. Three-star wide receiver Brian Williams Jr. also changed gears and signed with Auburn after pledging to Alabama.

Two more pieces need to fall into play as the dust settles. Four-star wide receiver Jase Mathews is set to sign on Friday, and Tavian Branch, a three-star defensive lineman from Taylor, Pennsylvania, committed to Auburn on Wednesday, but has not officially signed.
