Where Clemson lands in all major outlets 2027 updated recruiting rankings

The latest update to the 2027 recruiting rankings has been released, and Clemson continues to find itself among the top classes in the country.

ESPN rolled out its newest team rankings after both 247Sports and Rivals updated their lists earlier this week. The Tigers are now ranked No. 13 by both ESPN and 247Sports, while Rivals has the Tigers at No. 16. Although there is a slight difference between the services, Clemson remains the ACC’s No. 2 class across all three rankings, sitting behind only Miami.

ESPN’s latest update also bumped Clemson up one spot after four-star defensive lineman Seth Tillman announced his commitment earlier this month. The Tigers now have nine SC Next 300 prospects in the class, giving Dabo Swinney and his staff another boost as they continue to build one of the nation’s deepest groups.

The outlet identified quarterback Kharim Hughley as Clemson’s top offensive commitment and defensive end Desmond Malpress as the top defensive pledge. ESPN also praised the overall makeup of the class, highlighting playmakers like running back Gary Walker, wide receivers Jamarin Simmons and Trey Wimbley, and offensive tackle J.J. Brown. On the defensive side, linebacker Bryce Kish and Luke Starcevic were also mentioned as key additions. While ESPN lists Starcevic as a defensive tackle, Clemson plans to use him on the offensive line.

The Tigers now have 25 commitments in the 2027 cycle, including five-star receiver Jamarin Simmons in the 247Sports rankings. Clemson’s class could still grow before the summer comes to a close, with four-star safety Seth Williams scheduled to announce his decision on July 31. The Tigers and Georgia are the two finalists for Williams, who is currently the only remaining offered prospect still on Clemson’s recruiting board.

With recruiting services continuing to tweak both prospect evaluations and team rankings throughout the cycle, Clemson has consistently remained in the mix among the nation’s top 15 classes regardless of which outlet is doing the ranking.
