Where does UCLA's Nico Iamaleava rank amongst Big Ten quarterbacks?

The UCLA Bruins will need strong quarterback play out of Nico Iamaleava this season to have a chance at making some noise in the Big Ten Conference. 

Ari Wasserman of On3 Sports ranked the Top-10 quarterbacks of the Big Ten with Iamaleava slotting in at No. 9 on the list. Former UCLA Bruin Dante Moore tops the list at the No. 1 spot.

UCLA hasn’t made much progress in their first two seasons in the Big Ten, with back-to-back losing seasons since leaving the Pac-12. 2025 saw the Bruins fire DeShaun Foster just three games into the season, leading to a rebuild for the program.

UCLA landed Bob Chesney fresh off of a College Football Playoff appearance but Chesney will need a good showing from his quarterback too. Iamaleava showed plenty of natural talent in his first year with the Bruins but for UCLA to take a big step, Iamaleava will have to be great.
