Penn State’s home football game atmosphere has become legendary with its electric whiteout crowds. The massive football stadium, the second-largest in the nation as far as capacity is concerned, is undergoing renovations leading up to the 2026 college football season but will be rocking and rolling for the dawn of a new era under new head coach Matt Campbell. And the reputation for being one of the toughest places to play will once again be highlighted in the release of this year’s college football game installment from EA Sports.

EA Sports has started releasing some information, rankings, and ratings for this year’s version of its revived college football franchise, EA Sports College Football 27. Kicking off the series of ratings reveals was the ranking of the toughest places to play that will be featured in this year’s game. Penn State and Beaver Stadium rank No. 3 in this year’s game.

The only two stadiums coming in ahead of Beaver Stadium on the EA Sports toughest places to play ranking were LSU’s Tiger Stadium and Ohio State’s Ohio Stadium. Oregon’s Autzen Stadium is the only other Big Ten school to land in the top-10 of this year’s ranking from EA Sports.

One of the new features said to be in the game this year is the ability to control the color coordination of the home fans. Want a whiteout every home game for Penn State in your dynasty? Go for it!

EA Sports College Football 27 is scheduled to release on July 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC. Sorry Nintendo Switch 2 fans, but you are out of luck once again this year.
