Even when everything seems to be constantly evolving, recruiting is still the lifeblood of any college football program.
Ahead of the early signing period, we're taking a look at where Iowa State football stands with its 2026 recruiting class.
Here's where the Cyclones sit ahead of early signing day.
Iowa State football recruiting rankings
- 247Sports: 49th
- On3: 50th
- ESPN: 63rd
The Cyclones' 2026 recruiting class is rated around the top 50 in the country. In the Big 12 Conference, it is slotted as the 11th best, according to 247Sports.
Iowa State football 2026 top commitments
Ratings from 247Sportscomposite.
- Jeffrey Roberts, WR, four-star recruit (Iowa)
- Mason Bandhauer, OT, three-star recruit (Colorado)
- Tyrell Chatman, S, three-star recruit (Nebraska)
- Tayten Duncan, S, three-star recruit (Oklahoma)
- Daniel Howard, DL, three-star recruit (Illinois)
Of Iowa State's best recruits, just one (Roberts) is rated a four-star or better. The Dowling Catholic star wide receiver was a huge part of the Maroons winning the state title in 2025.
Interestingly enough, Roberts is the lone ranked commit from the state of Iowa in the class. While the Cyclones typically hoard in-state recruits, a healthy chunk this year comes from Nebraska and other surrounding states.
When is the early signing period?
- Dec. 3-5
