LSU football continues making strides with its 2027 recruiting class. Head coach Lane Kiffin and his staff, after an active period in the transfer portal, quickly turned their attention to the high school rankings to keep building out the Tigers‘ program.

Kiffin and company picked up two commitments in April, bringing the total to four for the 2027 cycle. Braylon Calais and Ah’Mari Stevens pledged to the Tigers over the last two weeks, giving LSU momentum on the prep recruiting trail.

Calais is the No. 5 athlete in the cycle, per Rivals’ Industry Rankings, and the No. 6 prospect out of Louisiana. Stevens, a wide receiver, flipped his commitment from Miami to LSU. He took an official visit to Baton Rouge, which led to the switch-up.

The two commitments in April, along with five-star edge Jaiden Bryant and four-star quarterback Peyton Houston, give LSU a top-five SEC class. Rivals’ Industry Rankings put the Tigers at No. 10 overall and No. 5 among conference teams in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
