Signing day for the 2027 cycle in college football continues to draw closer and LSU football seems poised to ink another top-10 class. Head coach Lane Kiffin kept much of the group together after taking the reins in November and he could add another commitment by the end of the 2026 regular season.

Per Rivals' Industry Rankings, LSU ranks No. 10 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC with its 2027 class. Of its 16 commitments, 12 are blue-chippers and seven hail from Louisiana. Four rank in the cycle's overall top-100 with an additional four ranking in the top-200.

LSU failed to ink a quarterback in its 2026 class but locked down Cotton Valley, LA native Peyton Houston early in the process. The four-star passer is Louisiana's No. 5 prospect and he ranks No. 8 at his position. Running back Trey Martin, a Winnsboro, LA native, ranks No. 6 in the state and No. 10 among ball carriers.

Changes could still affect LSU's class. Four-star tight end Ahmad Hudson, who ranks No. 2 at his position and No. 37 overall, has a visit scheduled to Nebraska in the fall. The Tigers are also pursuing New Orleans native Easton Royal, a five-star wide receiver who remains committed to Texas.
