LSU football landed a top recruit on Sunday, securing a commitment from five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson. Hudson is LSU’s fifth commitment of the Tigers‘ 2027 class, giving Lane Kiffin a top-10 recruiting class.
247Sports is the highest on Hudson, slotting the Louisiana product as the No. 11-ranked player in the country and No. 1 at his position.
After the addition of Hudson, LSU’s class now ranks No. 7 in Rivals Industry Rankings. Hudson is the second five-star to join the fold, joining defensive lineman Jaiden Bryant. LSU’s average recruit rating of 92.6 ranks No. 3 in the nation.
LSU is building momentum on the recruiting trail as we enter a pivotal stretch for the 2027 class. Nowadays, a significant portion of elite prospects are off the board before the start of their senior season.
LSU signed a strong class last December, despite the coaching change. Now, in Kiffin’s first full cycle, LSU is hoping to land a top-three class in the country.
