It was going to be a Herculean effort for Michigan football to beat Ohio State for a fifth straight time, but the Wolverines had even worse odds and came out on top in the past. However, for once this decade, the favorite Buckeyes flexed and rose from the ashes in The Big House after beating the maize and blue, 27-9.
Michigan entered Saturday ranked No. 15 in the eyes of the coaches. But, after losing to No. 1 OSU, how would the coaches view the Wolverines?
The final regular season US LBM Coaches Poll is out, and the maize and blue dropped to No. 18. They finished the year 9-3 with no ranked wins but with all three losses coming to ranked teams — No. 1 Ohio State, No. 8 Oklahoma, and No. 17 USC.
