It's been more than nine months since the Hawkeyes last swarmed Kinnick Stadium. But, all that changes on Saturday afternoon.

After eight months of waiting, Iowa football is officially back as the Hawkeyes host Northern Illinois from Kinnick Stadium. Iowa is still in the midst of a quarterback competition that is rolling right into Week 1.

Hank Brown and Jeremy Hecklinski continued to split reps throughout this week of practice and the expectation is that the duo will see equal time in the opener against the Huskies. Running backs Kamari Moulton and L.J. Phillips Jr., tight end DJ Vonnahme and receivers Reece Vander Zee, Tony Diaz and Evan James highlight some of the weapons that Iowa's pair of quarterbacks will lean on.

Defensively, linebacker Jayden Montgomery and defensive back Zach Lutmer will anchor Phil Parker's unit. Defensive end Iose Epenesa will make his first career start on Saturday.
