The US LBM Coaches Poll No. 3 Notre Dame hosts a struggling Stanford Cardinal squad this weekend.
The Fighting Irish will be facing off a Cardinal team that has won just one game and has been blown out in all but one of its losses. Notre Dame, meanwhile, is looking to stay on track for a playoff bid, with the most difficult games on its schedule coming — the much-hyped matchup with BYU is next week, and the tilt with fellow top-five team Miami (FL) is two weeks after that, with long-time rival Navy in between.
This is the last chance for the Irish to get in tune against a bad team before having to face tougher opposition.
