COLUMBIA — Eighteen days after the transfer portal opened, South Carolina football has added 25 new players to its roster and lost 23 to the transfer portal.

Coach Shane Beamer went 4-8 in 2025 and was in need of a roster rebuild, particularly on his offensive line.

The transfer window was open from Jan. 2-16.

Here’s where former South Carolina players have committed as of Jan. 20.

Which South Carolina transfers are staying in the SEC?

Jaylen Brown

Jaylen Brown is an edge rusher who didn’t play in 2025 due to injury after transferring from Missouri. He has committed to LSU.

Michael Smith

Michael Smith, a tight end, had a good freshman year but midway through his sophomore season he left the team. He was originally committed to Syracuse out of the portal but has most changed his decision to Ole Miss.

Trovon Baugh

Offensive lineman Trovon Baugh started 11 of 12 games in 2025 and spent three years at South Carolina. He is now at Texas A&M.

Desmond Umeozulu

Desmond Umeozulu is a 6-foot-6 edge rusher who played in all 12 games in 2025, making one start. He’s played in 36 of 37 games the last three seasons and had 30 career tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and six quarterback hurries.

He’s now going to Alabama.

Which South Carolina transfers went to Big Ten schools?

Nick Sharpe

The offensive lineman played just one season for the Gamecocks after transferring from Wake Forest. He made five starts in nine games and has committed to Michigan State.

Brian Rowe Jr

Brian Rowe Jr left after his freshman season. The wide receiver had 19 catches for 149 yards and one touchdown in 2025 across eight games. He’s transferred to UCLA.

Boaz Stanley

Offensive lineman Boaz Stanley is at Purdue after one season with South Carolina. He started in nine games mainly at center but also played right guard.

Jatavius Shivers

Offensive lineman Jatavius Shivers is at Purdue. He played in seven games in 2025 as a reserve.

Tree Babalade

Offensive lineman Tree Babalade moved into the starting lineup midseason and played in seven games. He started five straight at right tackle. He committed to Nebraska.

Which South Carolina transfers went to the ACC?

Vandrevius Jacobs

Vandrevius Jacobs had 548 receiving yards on 32 catches with four touchdowns in 2025. He transferred from Florida State after the 2023 season and had 12 catches for 181 yards for South Carolina in 2024. He has committed to Miami.

Cason Henry

Veteran offensive lineman Cason Henry played four games before a season-ending shoulder injury. He committed to Louisville.

Ryan Brubaker

Backup offensive lineman Ryan Brubaker missed all of the spring then returned to practice in 2025 and played in one game against Coastal Carolina. He committed to Virginia.

Zavion Hardy

Zavion Hardy, a defensive lineman was the only junior college recruit in the December 2024 signing class. He played in one game. Hardy committed to Baylor.

Jaron Willis

Linebacker Jaron Willis played in 20 games for South Carolina, 11 in 2025 and had five solo tackles. He has committed to Kansas.

Where did other South Carolina football transfers go to?

Air Noland

Air Noland entered the portal after one season as backup quarterback. He only played for a few snaps after he transferred from Ohio State. He has committed to Memphis.

Emazon Littlejohn

Emazon Littlejohn was a second-year walk-on wide receiver who played in one game in 2024 but did not record any stats. He is committed to Western Michigan.

Mac Walters

Mac Walters is a walk-on who played in six games across three seasons. He is committed to App State.

Campbell Vandiver

Campbell Vandiver was a walk-on offensive lineman who didn’t appear in any games the last three seasons. He is committed to Montana.
