Vanderbilt football moved up one spot to No. 12 in the US LBM Coaches Poll after a blowout of Kentucky.
The Commodores (9-2, 5-2 SEC) won, 45-17, with Diego Pavia setting a school record with 484 passing yards.
Vanderbilt moved ahead of Georgia Tech, which lost to Pittsburgh, but did not pass any other teams after everyone in the top 11 either won or did not play.
The Commodores have been ranked as high as No. 11 this season but they have not cracked the top 10 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. A top-10 finish in the College Football Playoff rankings will likely be necessary to qualify for the playoff.
Vanderbilt finishes its season at No. 18 Tennessee (8-3, 4-3) at Neyland Stadium on Nov. 29 (2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN).
