With Dunnellon being crowned the FIT Division 1 champs, The Marion County high school football season is officially over. That's more than 15 weeks of football in the 2025 season. Now it's time to find out who could be named the Star Banner football player of the year.
Below we've compiled a list of standouts from each 11-man football team in the area. For many programs we have two representatives, often an offensive MVP and a defensive MVP.
While we parse through the data for all county football teams, we want to know who Marion County high school football fans see as the top player in Ocala. Voting is open until Friday at noon. Results will be live as soon as the poll closes.
Belleview
Nick Smith, RB
Smith hardly left the field this season. He finishes the year as Belleview’s leader in tackles, rushing yards, and return yards.
Keondre Fillmore, RB
Fillmore had three games with over 100 rushing yards. The senior running back led the team in total touchdowns.
Dunnellon
Tony Tanner, RB
Tanner became one of the best running backs in the county this season. He finished the year with 1,179 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.
Dylan Curry, QB
Curry led the country in passing yards and passing touchdowns. He had a career high 2,007 total yards this season.
Forest
Knox Boutwell, DE
Boutwell had a team-high 7.5 sacks for the Wildcats. At 6-foot-6 he was one of the tallest football players in the county.
Kez Rivers, RB
Rivers finished the season with 108 yards per game. He's the only running back to average over 100 rushing yards a game.
Lake Weir
Kevin Lucas, RB
Lucas was in the running for the rushing title this season. He finished the year with more than 300 yards.
North Marion
Damir Williams, WR
Williams became the first Marion County receiver with more than 1,000 yards in a season. He ended the season with 54 catches and 10 touchdowns.
Matthew Dial, QB
Dial finished the season with the most passing and rushing touchdowns since his freshman year. His 17 passing touchdowns are tied for the most of any Marion County quarterback.
Trinity Catholic
Christian Neal, ATH
Neal had a breakout season in the defensive backfield. He finished the season with 59 tackles and 2 interceptions.
Wyatt Lucas, RB
Lucas had a breakout season for the Hurricanes. He led his team in rushing and team-high 5 touchdowns.
Vanguard
TJ Lewis, QB
Lewis leads all quarterbacks in the county in rushing yards and total touchdowns. Lewis led Vanguard in rushing touchdowns (10).
Dylan Harris, DE
Harris recorded 26 sacks this season. He sits half a sack behind Adrian Hope for the school’s single season sack record.
West Port
Jordan Honor, CB
Honor was a playmaker at every position the Wolfpack asked him to play. He led West Port with 853 all-purpose yards.
Mark Wolowitz, WR
Wolowitz led the Wolf Pack in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in 2026. His speed made him one of the most productive receivers in the county.
