Official visits are starting up for the Wisconsin Badgers this week, and it’ll be a crucial week for recruiting, as the program will have a ton of their top targets on campus.
The Badgers are expected to have six visitors, as well as a bevy of commits on campus, as they look to add to their growing 2027 class. So, let’s break down all the visitors for the Badgers this weekend.
Four-star CB Mekhi Williams (Florida State commit)
The Badgers will get the first crack at flipping Williams, who is being highly recruited by several top programs, including Florida State, which hopes to keep him. Williams has scheduled official visits to Florida State, Nebraska, and LSU still on the docket, so this weekend will be crucial for the Badgers to try and close on the four-star.
Wisconsin currently doesn’t have a cornerback commit in their 2027 class, so Williams would be a good start, and the four-star is a good fit with his height and length at 6’2 for the boundary position.
Three-star CB Royalton Allen
The Badgers have multiple cornerback recruits on campus this weekend, with Royalton Allen being the other target.
A California native, Allen was a late offer for the Badgers, who extended him a scholarship only earlier this month. Still, the two sides quickly worked to lock in an official visit for the first weekend available, and he’ll now be on campus this week.
At 6’0, 175 pounds, Allen would be an ideal fit for the field corner position in this class, and the Badgers could have a chance to get this done this weekend. Other contenders include Colorado State and BYU, who have official visits slated for the next two weekends.
Four-star WR Jai Jones
The Badgers offered the Arizona native earlier this year, and they’ll get the first official visit for Jones this weekend.
Wisconsin doesn’t have a commitment at wide receiver yet this offseason, but they have a couple of top targets coming to campus over the next few weeks for official visits. So, it’ll be intriguing to see where they stand with Jones after the weekend, and if they’ll get a commitment there.
Jones also has a visit currently scheduled to Arizona, where he has been quite a few times, while Cal has also been a contender.
Three-star EDGE Darin Graham
The Badgers will also get three-star Illinois native Darin Graham to campus this weekend, as they try to secure another edge prospect in this year’s class. Wisconsin got an early commitment from in-state edge Isaac Miller, so Graham would be a quality addition alongside Miller in the class.
Graham announced a top three of Wisconsin, Ole Miss, and Purdue, and the Rebels will get a visit next weekend after offering him last month.
So, we’ll see if the Badgers can find a way to shut it down this weekend, or if Graham will take that visit next weekend.
Three-star WR Tavares Powell
The Badgers are also looking to close on three-star wideout Tavares Powell, who is another receiver target they’ve been working on since offering him this spring.
A Florida native, Powell stands 6’0, 170 pounds, and is also receiving high interest from Kansas and Utah, which both have official visits scheduled for the following two weekends, respectively.
Wisconsin has a few targets at wide receiver, so we’ll see if they can end up with a commitment between Powell and Jones after the first weekend or if their list gets shorter going into Week 2.
Three-star LB Nathan Jones
The Badgers started off the class at linebacker with three-star commit Keaton Wollan earlier this month. Now, they could wrap it up with Arizona native Nathan Jones, who will be on campus this weekend.
The great news is that Wisconsin is Jones’s only scheduled official visit, which places a higher confidence that they could get a commitment here this weekend.
Wisconsin also does not have any other linebacker prospect heading to campus for an official visit.
