Oregon was one of the biggest disappointments in last year's College Football Playoff, as the Ducks lost to Ohio State during the Rose Bowl in their first game of the Playoff.

Therefore, the Ducks are looking to avenge their loss this year. After finishing the season with an 11-1 record, with a lone loss to Indiana, Oregon couldn't crack the Big Ten championship, which means that Ohio State and Indiana have likely secured higher spots in the ranking than their conference rivals, regardless of this weekend's results.
Still, Oregon could finish the year with a top-four ranking, which would give the Ducks a second-straight year with a bye. However, if the Ducks finish with a ranking outside the top four, they will get to host a Playoff game for the first time.
