Texas Tech has enjoyed one of its finest seasons in recent memory, emerging as College Football Playoff contenders amid a slew of Behren Morton and Cameron Dickey touchdowns.
The 12-1 Red Raiders found success in the Big 12, beating all comers — sans Arizona State — to earn a spot in the conference's title game.
Texas Tech might not have the pedigree of other 2025 standouts like Ohio State and Georgia. But a balanced roster — spearheaded by presumptive first-rounder EDGE David Bailey — has the Red Raiders in position to splash come the start of the postseason.

Who will Texas Tech play next?
Texas Tech is the No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff and therefore receives a first-round bye. The Red Raiders will face No. 5 Oregon, who scored a 51-34 win over No. 12 James Madison in the first round of the CFP. The game will be contested in the Orange Bowl.

Texas Tech and Oregon will compete in the Orange Bowl, which will be held at noon ET on Jan. 1.
