The Notre Dame Fighting Irish won’t play in a bowl game in 2025, after all.
Earlier reports indicated the Irish might take on the BYU Cougars in the Pop-Tarts Bowl in Orlando, but the team put out a statement saying they won’t be partaking in the postseason.
“As a team, we’ve decided to withdraw our name from consideration for a bowl game following the 2025 season,” the statement said. “We appreciate all the support from our families and fans, and we’re hoping to bring the 12th national title to South Bend in 2026.”
The 2025 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football season is officially over.
