Wild Prediction Georgia Fans Will Love Has Bulldogs Posting Tremendous Season

The Georgia Bulldogs are so close to the regular season fans can already hear the roars coming from Sanford Stadium, and the hope is that the Dawgs can get back to contending for national championships.

Despite the last three years which have seen two SEC titles but no victories in the College Football Playoff, Georgia remains one of the favorites to win it all which speaks to the program Kirby Smart has built. The conference is a gauntlet once again, but by SEC standards, Smart actually has a relatively manageable schedule that he's going up against this year.

During the summer, predictions start to flow in for how the season plays out, and fresh off being the press pick at SEC Media Days in Tampa, another Bulldogs schedule prediction will have fans excited. Chris Phillips of SEC Unfiltered has Smart's program going 11-1 with a surprising early loss but no other blemishes in the regular season.

SEC Unfiltered Predicts Georgia Loss to Oklahoma

Fascinatingly, Phillips has the Bulldogs dropping an early home game in week four to the Oklahoma Sooners, a loss which would certainly catch fans by surprise. It's not completely unreasonable by any means though as the Sooners were a playoff team last year and under Brent Venables will always have a defense that causes a lot of problems.

If John Mateer can get back to the kind of form he was in from before his thumb surgery last season, there's no reason to think Oklahoma can't once again be a problem for the rest of the conference. They did go on the road and defeat Alabama last season, a unit who while Georgia did get revenge on Atlanta was able to come into Athens and leave with a victory.

Just as notable as the Oklahoma loss though is handling both the Crimson Tide on the road as well as the Ole Miss Rebels, two games which many are questioning as potential losses for the Bulldogs.

Any year in the SEC, a record of 11-1 would be impressive, but Georgia would be absolutely ecstatic this year if they were able to drop just one game in conference play and almost certainly get back to the title game.

It would be absolutely wild if the schedule were to play out this way, and the Bulldogs should certainly be on high alert with the Sooners coming to town as hungry as ever.
