NORMAN — OU quarterback John Mateer said he has yet to consider his future.

Following the eighth-ranked Sooners’ 34-24 loss to No. 9 Alabama in the College Football Playoff opener Friday night, Mateer was asked if he would return next season or enter the NFL Draft.

“I really haven’t thought about it,” Mateer said.

Mateer added that he is going to take some time to weigh his options.

Mateer went 26-of-41 passing for 307 yards with two touchdown and one interception Friday night. He added 15 rushing yards and another touchdown.
