Running backs Isaac Brown and Keyjuan Brown as well as linebacker/safety Antonio Watts are out for Louisville football’s Week 13 ACC game against SMU, according to the Thursday night injury report.
Quarterback Miller Moss is listed as questionable, and linebacker TJ Quinn and tight end Jacob Stewart are probable. Deuce Adams and Brady Allen are listed as “or” options for the backup quarterback position. Neither Allen nor Adams has attempted a pass since the second week of the season but got in the games against Miami and Virginia Tech.
Isaac Brown has been struggling with injuries all season but missed the last two games after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury at Virginia Tech. He had three straight 100-yard games up to that point, including a career-high 205 rushing yards in the Cards’ 38-24 win against Boston College.
Keyjuan Brown had been the Cardinals’ starter in Isaac Brown’s absence and had back-to-back 100-yard rushing performances. Duke Watson will likely be Louisville’s starting running back, which will be the first start of his college career. He, too, struggled with injuries throughout the year but was fully healthy last week. The Georgia native had 39 yards on 11 carries in the 20-19 loss to Clemson.
Louisville and SMU are set to kick off at noon Saturday at Gerald Ford Stadium in Dallas.
