Snow painted over most of New York City overnight but it appears as though Clemson football won’t be playing in any of it during the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.

The Tigers (7-5) face Penn State (6-6) at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx on Dec. 27 (noon ET, ABC) and according to AccuWeather, the snow will stop between 10 and 11 a.m.

As of three hours before kickoff, it’s 24 degrees but reportedly feels more like 14 with a 34% chance of precipitation and 8 mph winds. Temperatures are expected to rise to 30 degrees by noon then 33 by the late afternoon before sunset.

According to the National Weather Service, the Bronx received 4.3 inches of snow by 4 a.m. on Dec. 27.

A special weather advisory began late afternoon on Dec. 26 and continued into Dec. 27, as the forecast originally predicted 5-9 inches of snow across New York.

As of 9 a.m., the AccuWeather statement said “roads, especially secondaries, remain snow covered and hazardous. Use extra caution if you must travel this morning.”
