The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs opened SEC play with a commanding 45-17 road win over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Georgia ran the ball at will and did not allow Arkansas to score a touchdown until the fourth quarter.

Georgia entered the Arkansas game with the No. 1 scoring offense in college football and looked sharp. The Bulldogs ran the ball (42 attempts) twice as often as they passed (21 attempts), but Arkansas could not stop Georgia.

Georgia outgained Arkansas 464-300, but Georgia was more dominant than that. The Bulldogs held Arkansas under 20 rushing yards and did a great job of making the Razorbacks' rotating quarterbacks uncomfortable. Arkansas never had a lead and accumulated a lot of their statistics in garbage time.

Georgia moves to 11-0 in SEC openers under coach Kirby Smart, but bigger challenges lie ahead. Next week, Georgia plays the No. 21 Oklahoma Sooners at home.

Winners, losers from Georgia's win over Arkansas

Winner: Georgia's rushing attack

Georgia's run game dominated the day with Georgia rarely needed to pass. Georgia's offensive line did a great job of run blocking. Quarterback Gunner Stockton has helped the run game with several big plays including a 62-yard rush. Stockton finished the day with 97 yards on seven carries.

Georgia running back Chauncey Bowens scored three touchdowns for UGA. The Dawgs ran the ball for 254 yards and four touchdowns.

Loser: Wide receiver Isiah Canion

Georgia Tech transfer Isiah Canion is still expected to play a key role in the Georgia offense, but he left the game with an injury early in the first quarter. UGA's passing game struggled at times on Saturday. Canion has three receptions for 28 yards and has not been Gunner Stockton's go-to-guy yet. Canion will have to wait to make an impact.

Humphreys delivered in areas off the stat sheet. Humphreys blocked an Arkansas punt and helped set up quarterback Gunner Stockton for a 62-yard rushing thanks to outstanding blocking. His lone catch was called back due to a penalty, but he played very well.

Loser: Arkansas

Arkansas has suffered back-to-back miserable losses and has not defeated a Power Four team since 2024. The Razorbacks have struggled to stop the run and have to be better. Arkansas fans are demoralized and broke out paper bags to wear on their heads during the second half.
