Wisconsin football class of 2026 commit flips to a Big Ten rival

Class of 2026 offensive lineman Benjamin Novak flipped his commitment from Wisconsin to Indiana on Wednesday.

The three-star recruit is the second offensive lineman to walk back his pledge to the Badgers in the last few days, following three-star tackle Maddox Cochrane. After the two departures, Wisconsin’s class of 2026 is down to 13 total commitments. The group, which now ranks No. 70 nationally and No. 16 in the Big Ten, does not have a single offensive lineman committed.

247Sports ranks Novak as the No. 926 player in the class of 2026, the No. 73 interior offensive lineman and the No. 13 recruit from the state of Indiana. He flips to an Indiana class of 2026 that now ranks No. 29 nationally with 24 players committed. Notably, he’ll play for Hoosiers offensive line coach Bob Bostad, a longtime Wisconsin assistant.

Indiana is 11-0 on the 2025 season after a 31-7 win over Wisconsin in Week 12. The Badgers, meanwhile, are just 3-7 on the field, plus are struggling mightily to keep their class of 2026 together.
