Standing 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, class of 2027 wide receiver Steele Harris could be exactly what the Wisconsin Badgers are looking for.

Wisconsin is pushing hard to land the second-generation athlete out of Montana. His father, Andre, was a 1985 NFL draft selection by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Football runs in the family; Steele's older brother, Reed, began his career at Boston College before announcing earlier this year he'd be transferring to Arizona State.

If Reed Harris is any indication of what the Badgers could get with Steele Harris, they're in good shape. Reed was the best player in Montana in 2023 and is coming off a year where he had 39 catches for 673 yards.

Keep in mind, the Badgers' leading quarterback last year, Hunter Simmons, only threw for 664 yards.

Wisconsin is one of the top three teams in the mix for the three-star athlete. Harris will be visiting Cal, Arizona State, and Wisconsin in the month of April, according to Rivals' Adam Gorney.

The Badgers didn't have a single receiver top 400 yards last season. To make things even worse, both of their leaders were seniors and are no longer on the team. According to 247Sports, Harris is fresh off a season where he had 42 receptions for 781 yards with seven touchdowns. If that's not enough, he had 40 carries for 460 yards with an additional touchdown, while adding 52 tackles, five sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble on defense.
