Wisconsin redshirt freshman running back Dilin Jones plans to enter the transfer portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Jones played a major role in the Wisconsin backfield in 2025, finishing second on the team with 76 carries for 300 yards and two touchdowns. He entered the season as the team’s top option. However, he later gave up share to Darrion Dupree and Gideon Ituka, both of whom are set to return in 2026.
The Olney, Maryland, native joined the program as a four-star recruit in the class of 2024, ranked specifically as the No. 146 overall player in the class and the No. 13 running back. He was part of an impressive Wisconsin recruiting class that finished the cycle ranked No. 23 nationally and No. 7 in the Big Ten.
Jones now joins a significant list of Badgers set to enter the portal when it opens on Jan. 2. That group also includes two-deep members wide receiver Eugene Hilton, wide receiver Trech Kekahuna, wide receiver Joseph Griffin Jr., cornerback Geimere Latimer, linebacker Christian Alliegro, linebacker Tackett Curtis, center Jake Renfro, running back Cade Yacamelli and punter Atticus Bertrams.
