The transfer portal won’t officially open for the Wisconsin Badgers for a few more weeks, but we have already seen a handful of players announce that they intend to move on from Madison once they are officially able to.
On Wednesday, it was wide receiver Trech Kekahuna who stated that he will be entering the transfer portal at the end of the year, joining the likes of linebacker Tackett Curtis and running back Cade Yacamelli. Kekahuna spent three years in Madison with the Badgers, catching a total of 55 passes for 641 yards and two touchdowns.
Kekahuna is a former 3-star recruit who was rated as the No. 489 player and No. 67 wide receiver in the 2023 class. He will still have two years of eligibility at whatever school he ends up transferring to.
While it was a tough season for the Badgers, there are hopes that things can turn around in the near future, thanks to an increased level of financial support, and the continuity provided by head coach Luke Fickell, who will stay on for another year at Wisconsin.
