Junior wide receiver Jordyn Tyson will not play in Arizona State's game on Nov. 15 against visiting West Virginia (4-5, 2-4) at Mountain American Stadium.

Coach Kenny Dillingham made that announcement after practice on Nov. 13. Tyson, projected to be selected in the top 10 picks of the next NFL draft, sustained a hamstring injury in ASU's upset of Texas Tech on Oct. 18 and has not played since.

That announcement did not come as a surprise. Two weeks ago, Dillingham said Tyson's likely return would not be until the Nov. 22 game at Colorado at the earliest.

Tyson has played in seven games and has 57 catches for 628 yards and eight touchdowns. ASU's second-leading receiver is tight end Chamon Metayer with 31 catches for 349 yards and three touchdowns.

Tyson joins a list of ASU's marquee players sidelined for the season. That list includes quarterback Sam Leavitt, running back Kyson Brown, center Ben Coleman, safety Xavion Alford, and linebacker Zyrus Fiaseu.

Dillingham's announcement came ahead of the first Big 12 availability reports of the week, scheduled for 7 pm.
