Some high school football players received a late Christmas present from the state’s coaches.

More than 200 coaches voted on their all-state players and released their picks for all six classes on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31.

Teams are released by class at specific times on those two days. No YAIAA players made the team in Class A or 3A, which were released at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., respectively, on Dec. 30.

A pair of New Oxford players were named to the Class 5A first team. Two more YAIAA players were named to the second team.

New Oxford senior Brody Holmes, who was named all-state by Pa. football writers as an athlete, was named first team at kick/punt returner by the coaches. Holmes was a GameTimePA all-star at wide receiver.

Fellow Colonials senior Brayden Billman was named first-team safety by the coaches. He was also a GameTimePA pick at safety.

This post will be updated on Dec. 31 when teams are released. Class 2A is announced at 8 a.m., Class 4A at 10 a.m. and Class 6A at noon.
