Welcome to the 2026 Heisman Week Four poll.  We welcome two new players to the poll, Kamario Taylor, the quarterback for Mississippi State. As well as Jadan Baugh of Florida, who is coming off a stellar game against Ole Miss. As we enter week four of the season, the games keep getting bigger, and the stakes are getting higher. To see all the movement from last week, check out the Week Three poll.  Again, a reminder that the Poll is weighted. The player gets five points for every first-place vote, four points for every second-place vote, three points for every third-place vote, and so on. Let’s get to it: our Week Four Heisman Poll.

2026 Heisman Week Four Poll

#5 Kamario Taylor, Quarterback, Mississippi State

Kamario Taylor is new to our Heisman poll.  He has 1,192 yards and 14 passing touchdowns this season.  Against Missouri, he threw 27 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns.  That last TD was a 24-yard game-winner with 3:57 left in the game to beat No. 19 Missouri. This is the Bulldogs’ first top-25 win since Dak Prescott in 2014. The Bulldogs are currently ranked #16 and are 4-0.  This weekend, they host the Crimson Tide. Should be a great game between two undefeated teams.
  • Next game: vs. Alabama, Saturday, October 3rd, 11:00 am CST

#4 Jadan Baugh, Running Back, Florida

After Jadan Baugh’s performance against Ole Miss, he was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week as well as the Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week. Baugh had 29 carries, 142 yards, and three touchdowns. Baugh has rushed for over 100 yards in five straight games dating back to last season, holding status as one of three Gators to accomplish the feat all-time (Fred Taylor, Emmitt Smith).   Florida had its highest-ranked win in over a decade against. Can they keep the momentum up when they travel to Columbia on Saturday?

#3 Trinidad Chambliss, Quarterback, Ole Miss

Coming off the huge win over LSU, the Rebels got beat down in the swamp.  In the Florida game, Trinidad Chambliss had 342 total yards and three touchdowns. The Ole Miss quarterback passed Eli Manning to take third place in a passing record that had stood since 2016. Chambliss has 1,222 yards and eight touchdowns this season. This weekend he and the Rebels travel to Nashville and take on Vanderbilt in hopes of bouncing back.  A very cool moment captured after the game was a video of Chambliss waiting to congratulate Jon Sumrall. See tweet below.

Next game: at Vanderbilt, Saturday, October 10th, 2:30 pm CST

#2  Jeremiah Smith, Wide Receiver, Ohio State

After the Illinois game Jeremiah Smith  was named Maxwell and Walter Camp National Player of the Week as well as being named player of the week by the AP and the Big Ten.  He had 12 receptions, for 217 yards and four touchdowns. Bringing his season totals to 33 receptions for 617 yards and seven touchdowns. Smith is only four games into the season and the record books are being rewritten. This weekend Smith and the Buckeyes travel to Iowa City to take on the undefeated Hawkeyes.
  • Next game: at Iowa, Saturday, October 3rd, 2:30 pm CST

#1.  Darian Mensah, Quarterback, Miami

Darian Mensah continues to break records. The latest and greatest stat for Mr. Mensah is that he has more touchdown passes than incompletions through his first four games.  Since 2004, the only quarterback besides Mensah to have more touchdowns than incompletions in the first three games was Baylor’s Robert Griffin III in 2011, the year he won the Heisman Trophy.  Last weekend, Mensah routed Central Michigan 52-3, where he threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns. This season, he has 1,211 yards, 14 touchdowns, and zero interceptions. This weekend, Mensah and the Hurricanes travel to Clemson for a cool, crisp fall night in Death Valley.
  • Next game: at Clemson, Saturday, October 3rd, 6:30 pm CST
