Welcome to the 2026 Heisman Week Three poll. Our Heisman hopefuls had some big record-breaking weekends. As we enter week four of the season, most teams are entering conference play, so the games get bigger and the stakes get higher. There has been some movement from last week, and to see all the movement from last week, check out the Week Two poll. Again, a reminder that the Poll is weighted. The player gets five points for every first-place vote, four points for every second-place vote, three points for every third-place vote, and so on. Let’s get to it: our Week Two Heisman Poll.
2026 Heisman Week Three Poll
#5 Malachi Toney, Wide Receiver, University of Miami
Malachi Toney got a little banged up in the 33-20 victory over Wake Forest last weekend. He finished the weekend with 12 catches for 114 yards and a touchdown. On the season, he has 28 catches for 444 yards and five touchdowns. Mario Cristobal said in his weekly press conference that Toney was full go and would start against Central Michigan on Saturday—good news for the Hurricanes and for Toney’s Heisman run.

#4 Jeremiah Smith, Wide Receiver, Ohio State
Jeremiah Smith officially broke OSU’s career receiving yardage record. He now has 2,9858 receiving yards. Smith surpassed Michael Jenkins’ record of 2,898 yards on the second drive of the Kent State game with a 23-yard catch.
The Buckeyes beat Kent State 59-3. Smith is just six touchdowns away from breaking Chris Olave’s school record of 35, and he’s expected to reach that mark this weekend against Illinois. He is also 27 catches away from passing Emeka Egbuka’s record of 205 total receptions. Smith will likely finish his Buckeye career as the Buckeyes’ top receiver in all three categories.

#3 Arch Manning, Quarterback, Texas
Arch Manning led the Longhorns to a 30-6 victory over UTSA last weekend. He had 16 completions for 161 yards and two touchdowns. The game was uninspired, and Texas was sloppy. Arch has 661 yards and 7 touchdowns on the season. This weekend Texas will travel to Knoxville to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. Both teams are 3-0 going into Saturday’s game. If the play as they did against UTSA, they will have a very long trip back to Austin. Hopefully they have tightened up their game plan and put up a competitive game against Tennessee.

#2 Darian Mensah, Quarterback, University of Miami
Darian Mensah and the Miami Hurricanes took down Wake Forest 33-20 last weekend. Mensah had 24 for 24 completions to start the game. Mensah currently has 873 yards, 11 touchdowns, and zero interceptions for the season.
Mensah finished with 35 straight completed passes, a streak that began last week against Florida A&M. This broke the ACC record of 30 consecutive completions over multiple games, which North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky set in September 2016. Mensah also started the game 24-for-24, breaking the ACC single-game record of 18 completions, previously held by three players. He came just two short of the FBS record set by East Carolina’s Dominique Davis in 2011. Look for more records to be shattered against Central Michigan this weekend.

#1. Trinidad Chambliss, Quarterback, Ole Miss
Trinidad Chambliss shot straight from five to number one with a bullet. But if you saw that Ole Miss / LSU game, you know why. He threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns; he ran for three first downs as well as the game-winning 14-yard touchdown. Chambliss was named SEC Player of the Week after his performance against LSU. Week three into the 2026 season, Chambliss has 924 yards, seven touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He and the Rebels, or Land Sharks or whatever their mascot is this week, will travel to the Swamp on Saturday to take on the Gators. Both teams are 3-0. Should be an entertaining game, to say the least.
