As the 2026 football season draws near, it's time to take an early look at the top safety prospects eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft.
Georgia's KJ Bolden heads into the year as the top player in this group, with a versatile skill set that allows him to line up over the top or in the slot. Notre Dame's Tae Johnson is a talented redshirt sophomore who could leave behind multiple years of eligibility at the college level to make the early jump if he plays well enough this season.
Oregon's Koi Perich, LSU's Ty Benefield, and Texas' Jalani McDonald all have top-50 potential, and a stellar 2026 campaign could move them into the first-round conversation.
