2027 offensive tackle, Tennessee target announces commitment date

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star offensive tackle Joshua Sam-Epelle will announce his commitment between Tennessee, Georgia and Georgia Tech on Friday, according to Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports.
The 6-foot-8, 310-pound prospect is from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Georgia. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 16 offensive tackle in the class and No. 8 player in Georgia.
Tennessee offered Sam-Epelle a scholarship on May 6, 2024. He unofficially visited Tennessee for the Vols’ game against Oklahoma on Nov. 1, 2025.
Auburn was the first school to offer Sam-Epelle a scholarship on March 21, 2024. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include UCF, South Carolina, Arkansas, SMU, Alabama, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Colorado, Florida, Penn State, North Carolina, Indiana, Nebraska, Arizona, Texas A&M, Duke, Miami, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Ohio State, UCLA, Purdue, Maryland, LSU and Kentucky.
Tennessee has 16 commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, wide receiver KeSean Bowman, defensive back Carter Jamison and defensive back Brandon Leavell, tight end Malik Howard, defensive lineman Christian Mays, cornerback Dylan Haley, linebacker Kenneth Simon II, kicker Ford Fehling, long snapper Sam McKeown, offensive tackle Q’Mari Hudson and athlete Dayon Cooper.
