Texas A&M football continues to stockpile its top-ranked College Football Recruiting class. The Aggies landed four-star wide receiver and a potential future KC Concepcion in Eric McFarland to close June. Now head coach Mike Elko and company adds a four-star linebacker over SEC rivals Texas and South Carolina.
Mikahi Allen is the newest member of the nation’s No. 1 class for 2027. Allen revealed his decision to Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals on Saturday in shutting down his recruitment.
Elko and the Aggies pull off a major east coast victory here on the recruiting trail. The 6-foot-1, 240-pound Allen stars for New Jersey powerhouse Don Bosco Prep. Allen even transitioned over to safety to spark his prep career.

But like an old school inside linebacker, Allen shoots through gaps and leaves destruction. So his past safety background hands him an edge in being quick-footed and sealing off angles. But he’s disruptive against the pass too as he covers tight ends and intermediate routes with discipline.
Elko even lands a potential future rush option here, as Allen brings a background in attacking the quarterback. Landing versatile linebackers is a must for SEC teams like the Aggies to counter explosive offensive systems.
Now Allen adds to a loaded linebacker room featuring the following: Kaden Henderson who’s a five-star per 247Sports composite, plus local star and three-star Aston Whiteside from Burleson Centennial in Texas.
Chance Archangel is one more blue chip talent heading to College Station, with the four-star choosing TAMU on June 3. So the Aggies continue to build up a class that has fans thinking about a future national title.
