Offensive linemen are starting to come off the recruiting board around the country, and the Oregon Ducks have been key players in several of those races.
Four-star offensive tackle Jake Hildebrand has been an Oregon target for some time, and he is set to make his decision soon. The Arizona product will announce his commitment on May 19, choosing between the Ducks, Arizona State, Texas A&M and Utah.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound tackle from Basha High School in Arizona is the No. 92 overall player nationally and No. 8 offensive tackle in the 2027 class, per the Rivals Industry Ranking. Hildebrand has been blocking up front for running back Noah Roberts, another Oregon recruiting target who committed to Texas on May 1.

Oregon has cast a wide net for offensive linemen in this recruiting class, and that has led to some movement within the class. The Ducks lost four-star offensive tackle Drew Fielder to USC earlier in the cycle, but the Ducks also landed three-star tackle Avery Michael and recently earned a commitment from four-star guard Gus Corsair.
However, the Ducks appear to be facing an uphill battle to win Hildebrand’s services. Rivals recruiting expert Brandon Huffman placed a prediction on Arizona State to keep the four-star tackle in-state when he announces his commitment.
Hildebrand has been drawn to NFL development in his recruitment, and the Sun Devils, led by former Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham, certainly can offer that. Arizona State just had a pair of first-round draft picks go to the NFL, including right tackle Max Iheanachor. Oregon offensive line coach A’lique Terry has also sent multiple linemen to the next level, but the ability to stay close to home has also been a big draw for the Sun Devils.
The Ducks should have more clarity on their offensive line class soon. Four-star tackle Cameron Wagner is set to commit on Monday, and all signs are pointing to an Oregon win. Four-star lineman Ismael Camara hasn’t locked in a decision date yet, but he appears to be trending toward the Ducks as well after a positive visit for the Oregon spring game.
Hildebrand will announce his decision at 3 p.m. PST from Basha High School on May 19.
