Clemson football is continuing to rack up the wins on the college football recruiting trail. They recently landed four-star offensive lineman Luke Starcevic. That was the second stud offensive lineman that Matt Luke had landed for Dabo Swinney and Clemson.

Now, they have a third offensive lineman committing to the class of 2027, per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.

” Four-Star OT JJ Brown has Committed to Clemson, he tells me for @Rivals. The 6’6 310 OT chose the Tigers over Florida, Georgia, Florida State, and Auburn. ‘Childhood dream came true, I’m Home and Go Tigers,’” Fawcett posted on X, formerly Twitter.

JJ Brown comes out of Lilburn, Georgia, and the six-foot-six, 305-pound offensive tackle is the 17th overall commitment for the Tigers. He chose Clemson over hometown Georgia, among other schools, because of the culture, according to Phil Kornblut of SportsTalk Media Network.

“The reasons why I committed to Clemson, number one, is the culture,” Brown said. “The culture is different up there because Coach Swinney really cares about his players long after their playing days. It doesn’t matter if they were a starter or if they were a walk-on. He’s still going to treat you the same. He’s still going to care for you the same. And not a lot of places get that. And then the second thing is probably the development by Coach Luke. He has the most NFL draft picks out of any other active coach right now. Coach Luke just had Blake Miller go in the first round, and just had Monroe Freeling (Georgia) go in the first round. He said I can be one of the next first-rounders to come out of Clemson. I want to learn the game more than I already do, and I just feel like he can take me to the next level, just his expertise and just his background. I feel like he can take me there, and ultimately, that led to my decision.”

While Luke was not an amazing head coach, peaking three seasons as the Ole Miss coach, he has been solid in developing offensive linemen. He did so at both Tennessee and Duke before being an assistant at Ole Miss. He also developed top players at Georgia and Clemson.

Clemson now has the 12th-ranked class in college football. They also have the second-ranked class in the ACC, only behind Miami.
