Tennessee’s quarterback pipeline remains alive and well this afternoon as the Volunteers have secured their class of 2028 passer. Kaden Craft, a 4-star quarterback from Mooresville, North Carolina, committed to Tennessee on Monday.
The 6-4, 210 pound prospect picked Tennessee over Oregon, LSU, Michigan, Florida and Ole Miss. Craft is the No. 131 overall prospect nationally in the class of 2028, according to 247Sports. He’s the fifth ranked player in the state of North Carolina, playing for Lake Norman.
Craft has already made 20 career starts at the high school level entering his junior season. The dual-threat quarterback has reportedly been clocked at 4.51 in the 40 yard dash. In addition to football, Craft is a wrestler, competes in track and field and even competed in BMX racing as a kid.
Craft led Lake Norman to an 8-4 record during his sophomore season, exiting the playoffs in the third round. He threw for 1,739 yards, 17 touchdowns and tossed only four interceptions.
Tennessee adds Craft to the future pipeline, following George MacIntyre and Faizon Brandon. The Volunteers also have a commitment from 3-star quarterback Derrick Baker in the class of 2027.
Craft is Tennessee’s first commitment of the 2028 cycle.
