4-Star Washington Football Commit Named To First-Team All-America

Washington Huskies 2027 commit Jaden Walk-Green enters his senior season viewed as one of the best defensive backs in the country.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Corona Centennial High School safety earned a spot on MaxPreps' first-team All-America ahead of his senior season. Walk-Green is the only UW commit in this year's class to make the list on offense or defense, fresh off recording 125 total tackles and 10 interceptions as a junior.
A four-star recruit by 247Sports' composite rankings, Walk-Green is one of four defensive four-star pledges for coach Jedd Fisch in the '27 cycle.
The standout Corona, California native joins IMG Academy cornerback Censere Gaylord and a pair of West Coast defensive linemen, Tevita Nonu from O'Dea High School and Jon Ioane from Tustin High School, as the four composite four-star commitments for the Huskies, a sign that defensive coordinator Ryan Walters and his staff are securing premium talent front to back.
"Put together a remarkable junior campaign in which he totaled 10 interceptions with most of them coming in the deeper third. Split safety that can go get the football with his advanced tracking skills. Will sift through track in run support and attack leverage as a tackler in the open field. Should be viewed as a high-IQ defender with Power Four starter upside that can help limit big plays in the secondary," 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins wrote in an evaluation of Walk-Green.
Walk-Green committed to UW on June 20, choosing the Big Ten school over Arizona State, UCLA and Vanderbilt, which gives the staff three consecutive recruiting classes with a top 30 safety in the country to add with Rylon Dillard-Allen (2025 class) and incoming first-year star Gavin Day (2026 class) for Taylor Mays to mold.
With Day expected to be a significant contributor this fall for the Huskies, it's safe to presume Fisch and defensive coordinator Ryan Walters will continue to emphasize developing high-caliber defensive backs through the high school ranks what the staff can find in the transfer portal.
