The Oregon Ducks pulled in their third commitment in as many days, this time with five-star wide receiver Xavier Sabb entering the fold.

It was a matter of when, not if, Sabb would commit to the Ducks. He chose Oregon over Tennessee, LSU and UCLA. Despite having a family connection to Alabama, the Ducks were favorites throughout, and a great final official visit set the Ducks apart in the race.

“I feel like that’s the best fit for me and my family,” Sabb said of Oregon. “Also, I feel like that’s the best chance I can get at winning a national championship.”

Sabb’s brothers, Keon and Amari, both play at Alabama. However, the youngest Sabb brother chose to carve his own path out west. Sabb is the No. 5 receiver and No. 32 overall player in the 2027 class, per the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Sabb was one of a few wide receivers that Oregon quarterback commit Will Mencl publicly called for the Ducks to add to the class, and the program has come through. Sabb will join fellow five-star wideout Dakota Guerrant as pillars of Oregon’s class on offense and outline a potential future for the scoring unit.

As a junior, Sabb played both receiver and safety at Glassboro High School. He made 59 catches for 896 yards and 13 touchdowns last season and was named Gatorade Player of the Year in New Jersey.

Sabb said he has maintained a relationship with Dan Lanning since his freshman year of high school, and that sparked a strong connection with Ross Douglas as well.

With Oregon’s string of commitments to start the month, including four-star Tae Walden Jr. and five-star Hayden Stepp, the Ducks have now hauled in 24 players in the recruiting class across 17 states. The class is on track for a top-five finish and should see a major boost in the national rankings after adding three top-100 players in a matter of days.
