9-man football semifinals to feature three area teams

Nov. 4—JAMESTOWN — There are four teams left in the 9-man football scene.
Come Saturday evening, there will only be two.
The 2025 9-man football semifinals will be played on Nov. 8. The semifinal winners will go on to play in the Dakota Bowl on Nov. 14 at the Fargodome beginning at 9 a.m.
Top-seeded New Rockford-Sheyenne is set to host its third playoff game of the year on Saturday. The Rockets will host fifth-seeded Hankinson at 2 p.m. at New Rockford Athletic Field. Head coach Elliott Belquist and company are currently 11-0. The Rockets have won every game by a minimum of 26 points. Hankinson is currently 10-1. The Pirates' one loss came against LaMoure/Litchville-Marion on Sept. 19.
LaMoure/LM is the No. 2 seed this postseason. The Loboeshave won every game by at least 30 points. Head coach Andy DelaBarre and his squad are set to host South Border in Saturday's semifinal game. The Mustangs pulled off a 26-22 upset of third-seeded Linton/HMB in last week's quarterfinal game. Overall, the team is 8-2 on the year.
