The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star Notre Dame Fighting Irish commitment Ellis McGaskin, who is a member of the class of 2027. McGaskin is a talented linebacker recruit that has been committed to Notre Dame since June 2025.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound linebacker plays high school football for Williamson High School in Mobile, Alabama. McGaskin is ranked as the No. 263 recruit in the country, the No. 17 linebacker and the No. 10 prospect in Alabama.

The Notre Dame commit is coming off an outstanding junior season. McGaskin racked up 160 tackles, 27 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, four blocked punts and one interception with Williamson in 2025.

In McGaskin's tape, he shows potential as a blitzer. The linebacker is a big hitter and shows excellent effort on special teams. McGaskin also plays running back for his high school and has good speed, which is critical for modern linebackers.

Georgia football offers Ellis McGaskin

In addition to offering McGaskin, Georgia also offered class of 2029 defensive back Captain Munnerlyn Jr., who is the son of former NFL defensive back Captain Munnerlyn. McGaskin is high school teammates with Munnerlyn Jr. at Williamson.
