The Kentucky Wildcats are staying hot on the recruiting trail as they have landed their 15th commitment for the 2027 recruiting class. Three-star offensive tackle Ian Walker picked the Wildcats over Florida and Ohio State, per Hayes Fawcett. Walker is listed as the 35th ranked offensive tackle on the Rivals industry rankings. On 247Sports composite rankings, Walker is listed as the 22nd overall interior offensive lineman.
Walker has the size to play on an SEC offensive line at 6'6, 305-pounds. He had a loaded list of offers including: Ohio State, Florida, Penn State, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon and more. Walker has the position versatility to play tackle or guard and the tools to become a starter for Kentucky. The Burlington Township, New Jersey product brings Kentucky to the 8th overall class according to 247Sports, and the 16th overall class according to Rivals.
Will Stein and his staff are making waves in the recruiting world. They show no signs of slowing down, and if they continue this momentum they are basically guaranteed a top 20 recruiting class in the country for the 2027 cycle. It is remarkable the energy that is being built around the Kentucky football program, and Coach Stein has already brought in 15 commits which is more than what they had for the 2026 cycle when Stein took the job. Only Oklahoma and UCLA have more commitments at this time, as Kentucky and Penn State are tied with 15 total commits.
