Nation's No. 1 QB visits Georgia football again

The Georgia Bulldogs continue to make a splash on the recruiting trail. Georgia and coach Kirby Smart recently hosted their annual scavenger hunt weekend. Perhaps the most notable recruit in attendance is already a Georgia commitment.

Five-star quarterback Jayden Wade, who is a member of the class of 2028, visited Georgia again. Wade has been committed to Georgia since Nov. 2025 and is a rising junior at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback recruit is ranked as the No. 1 player at his position in the class of 2028, per 247Sports. Wade is the second-best player in Florida and the second-best player in America.

Wade is a dual-threat quarterback that practices against a high level of competition at IMG Academy. He and four-star tight end Asa Wall are Georgia’s two commitments in the class of 2028. The Bulldogs have the nation’s top 2028 recruiting class, but it is way too soon to assume much for the class of 2027 and we remain over a year and a half away from the early signing period for the class of 2028.

Georgia is far from the only suitor for Wade. Both Tennessee and LSU are trying to flip the five-star quarterback and the Bulldogs will have to hold off a lot more competition for the elite passer.

Georgia is without a commitment from a quarterback in the class of 2027. The Bulldogs are running out of options in the 2027 cycle with 29 of the top 30 quarterback prospects committed to college programs. If Wade reclassified, then that’d be one way for Georgia to add a top quarterback in the 2027 cycle.

Wade passed for 20 touchdowns and two interceptions during the 2025 high school season. As a sophomore, the Georgia commit added 243 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
