June 27 is going to be a very important day for Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies on the recruiting trail.
On that Saturday, four-star wide receiver Osani Gayles from IMG Academy in Florida, who is ranked as the No. 35 overall prospect and No. 7 wide receiver in the 2027 class by 247Sports, will announce his commitment out of a top five that includes Alabama, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Tennessee, alongside the Huskies
That will be the second commitment for Fisch to keep a close eye on, as four-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough is also scheduled to make his pledge public that day. Four-star safety Isala Aisa Wily-Ava was also originally slated to make his college choice on the same day, but committed to the Huskies over Arizona State and Michigan on May 15.
🚨Commitment Announcement🚨
C/O 2027 4⭐️ Elite WR Osani Gayles (48th Natl. 8th Pos.) has announced his commitment date for June 27th. He will choose between Notre Dame, Alabama, Tennessee, Washington, and Stanford.

If Fisch and wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings are able to land the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Gayles, he would be a seamless addition to the scheme who would mainly line up in the slot, but has the ability to move around in the formation in a similar role to what the coaching staff asked Jacob Cowing to do at Arizona.
“Gifted inside receiver with the intelligence, confidence, and polish to elevate any passing attack,” 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins wrote in his scouting report. “Manipulates defenders with impressive route tempo as he mixes speeds and snaps out of breaks at crisp angles. Can bypass coverage with advanced releases and easy acceleration…Combative more times than not in 50-50 situations with his play strength…Slippery after the catch as he stacks cuts to avoid would-be tacklers.”
Gayles is slated to take official visits with all five of his finalists before he announces his pledge, starting with Stanford on May 23, before Alabama on May 29, Washington on June 5, Tennessee on June 12, and rounding things out with Notre Dame on June 19.
The Huskies currently hold commitments from two four-star receivers in the 2027 class: Braylon Pope and Zerek Sidney, and are also slated to host four-star prospects Tre Moore, Dontay Tyson, and Zion White for official visits over the next month.
