Three-star OL Rance Brown commits to Auburn over Kentucky

Auburn football has received a special gift this Memorial Day in the form of a commitment from a three-star offensive lineman.
Rance Brown, a 2027 three-star offensive tackle from Brentwood Academy in Tennessee by way of Gadsden, Alabama, announced his commitment to Auburn on Monday morning, choosing the Tigers over SEC rival Kentucky.
Auburn entered the day as the overwhelming favorite to land Brown, the former Southside Panther, with a 96% forecast according to Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine, with favorable predictions from recruiting insiders Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons. Brown also told Tom Loy of 247Sports that the idea of playing for an in-state program, such as Auburn, is exciting.
The Tigers entered the day with the No. 18 ranking in Rivals 2027 rankings and No. 30 in 247Sports’ rankings. Brown joins fellow offensive lineman commits four-star Layton von Brandt and Jaylon Moore in Auburn’s 2027 haul. Brown is a three-star offensive tackle that ranks No. 69 among 2027 offensive tackles according to Rivals composite rankings, and is No. 37 among 2027 prospects from Tennessee.
