10 Must-See Games on 2026 College Football Schedule, Including Oregon vs. Ohio State

The countdown to the start of the 2026 college football schedule is officially on, with Memorial Day in the rearview mirror and summer on the horizon. With just three months left until college football is officially back on August 29th, we take a look at the top 10 must-see games of the upcoming season.

10. Oklahoma at Michigan (Sept. 12)

Longtime Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham is the new head man at Michigan after the Sherrone Moore Soap Opera, and he’s got the talent to compete for a playoff spot right away. Michigan looks to avenge last season’s loss to Oklahoma in Norman, and all eyes will be on QB Bryce Underwood to see how much he’s developed under a functional coaching staff after a rollercoaster freshman season.

9. Georgia at Alabama (Oct. 10)

The two goliaths of the Southeastern Conference are set to do battle once again in a rare regular-season matchup between the schools. Alabama and Georgia delivered an instant classic the last time these two met in Tuscaloosa, and with both again expected to be Top 10 teams, our popcorn will be ready for this game.

8. Texas at Texas A&M (Nov. 27)

With all due respect to Texas and Oklahoma’s Red River Rivalry, the Lone Star Showdown will be an even bigger rivalry game this fall for Texas after UT spoiled A&M’s undefeated season last year in Austin. After the in-state rivalry took a hiatus from 2011 to 2024, Kyle Field will be rocking as the Aggies look to beat the Longhorns for the first time since 2010.

7. Clemson at LSU (Sept. 6)

Clemson and LSU are both coming off disappointing seasons, but that won’t put a damper on the intrigue for this Week 1 game. Dabo Swinney is looking to re-establish himself as one of the premier coaches in college football after a disastrous 2025 season in which the Tigers were ranked No. 4 in the preseason but limped to a 7-6 record. Meanwhile, LSU’s $91 million man, Lane Kiffin, will make his Death Valley debut with expectations already sky high in Baton Rouge.

6. Miami at Notre Dame (Nov. 7)

Notre Dame fans are still bitter about getting left out of the 2025 College Football Playoff in favor of Miami after the Irish lost their 2025 season opener to the Hurricanes. 38 years after the legendary “Catholics vs. Convicts” game in South Bend, Notre Dame will have its chance to avenge last season’s loss and establish the Irish as a favorite for this year’s national title.

5. Oregon at Ohio State (Nov. 7)

Duck fans are still suffering PTSD from the Buckeye beatdown they got in the 2025 Rose Bowl when Ohio State beat Oregon 41-21 after jumping out to a 34-0 lead. Led by QB Dante Moore, Oregon is in prime position to finally wins it first football national title. The Ducks will get the ultimate test in Columbus against the likely preseason No. 1 team in the country.

Ohio State’s offensive triplets of QB Julian Sayin, RB Bo Jackson, and WR Jeremiah Smith make this the toughest game on Oregon’s entire schedule.

4. Ohio State at Indiana (Oct. 17)

This rematch of the 2025 Big Ten Championship will pit the Big 10’s Old Guard of Ohio State vs. its new up-and-coming powerhouse in Indiana. While the Hoosiers lost a ton from their 2025 national title team, don’t bet against Hoosiers head coach Curt Cignetti after he restocked IU’s roster with studs in the transfer portal.

3. Michigan at Ohio State (Nov. 28)

Already the most bitter rivalry in college football, “The Game” has gotten even nastier since a post-game brawl the last time Michigan played Ohio State in Columbus in 2024. The Buckeyes snapped a four-game losing streak against That Team Up North last fall, and new Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham will have his work cut out for him to defeat the preseason No. 1 team in the country on its home turf.

2. Ohio State at Texas (Sept. 12)

Are you sensing a trend with the Buckeyes? The favorite to win the 2026 national title is in a LOT of big games this fall. In what will likely be a matchup of the top two-ranked teams in the country, Texas will look to avenge last season’s loss in Columbus as Arch Manning tries to turbo-charge his Heisman Trophy campaign after a strong finish to the 2025 season.

1. LSU at Ole Miss (Sept. 19)

Lane Kiffin might need a tank to return to Oxford in Week 3 after leaving Ole Miss for LSU for $91 million right before last season’s College Football Playoff, and recently said LSU is an easier place to recruit because it has more diversity. If you thought Kiffin’s return to Tennessee in 2021 was chaotic with Vols fans throwing golf balls and mustard bottles on the field, Kiffin’s return to Mississippi will make that look like an ice cream social.
