The Auburn Tigers have received a commitment from three-star cornerback Nash Johnson III, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Johnson committed to Alex Golesh and his staff after his official visit over the weekend. He was previously committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide, but never closed his recruitment and opened it back up in April. The Tigers beat out the Clemson Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Georgia Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers, and Ole Miss Rebels for him.

Auburn extended Johnson a scholarship offer in September of 2025 under the previous staff. The new staff only amped up their efforts and were able to host him on multiple visits after he committed to Alabama. That allowed them to get his first official visit and to get him in the fold before he could visit his other contenders.

He is ranked as the No. 590 overall player and No. 59 cornerback in the 247Sports composite. The Powder Springs native is also the No. 71 player from Georgia.

Johnson is Auburn's first commitment at cornerback and 10th overall in the 2027 recruiting cycle. The group is ranked as the 28th best class in the country and the 8th best class in the SEC by 247Sports. He is their sixth commitment in May as they continue to rise in the rankings.
