The Georgia Bulldogs have lost another elite recruit to the Florida Gators. Four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson has committed to Florida, according to Hayes Fawcett. He chose Florida over Georgia and LSU.
Jackson is a four-star prospect from the class of 2027. The 6-foot-6, 307-pound offensive lineman plays high school football and basketball for Lithonia High School in Lithonia, Georgia. He is the No. 14 offensive tackle recruit and No. 122 recruit in the country. Former Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones played for Lithonia too before he was a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
Florida has already built one of the most impressive recruiting classes in the nation. Their class ranks No. 5 in the country, including a five-star (Maxwell Hiller) and nine four-stars, including Jackson. They’re behind just Oklahoma and Texas A&M in the SEC.
The Bulldogs are lagging, with just the No. 23 recruiting class in the nation and No. 6 in the SEC. They’ve picked up in recent days, but losing Jackson hurt. Overall, they have one five-star and three four-star commitments.
They’ve at least invested a lot into their offensive tackle room in 2027. Four-star Kelsey Adams leads the pack, but they also have three-stars Abram Eisenhower, D.J. Dotson, and Ty Johnson. Still, they have a long way to go, and Bulldogs fans are waiting for a big month, similar to the one they had last year in June. UGA also missed out of four-star offensive tackle recruit JJ Brown, so the Dawgs face a bit of a reset.
