Wake up, everyone. It’s Ohio State game day!
This is a game that had been circled on the calendar for both fanbases before the season began.
Ohio State, the defending national champions, playing host to Penn State, a preseason national championship favorite who stole the Buckeyes’ defensive coordinator during the offseason. It had all the makings of a dramatic Big Ten battle for supremacy.
Instead, the Nittany Lions find themselves fighting for bowl eligibility, with James Franklin having already been fired and quarterback Drew Allar out for the season with an injury. Penn State still has more than enough talent on its roster to make this game interesting, but the stakes for both sides have drastically changed.
